　　美国时间6月25日，著名流行歌星迈克尔·杰克逊因心脏病发作在洛杉矶的一家医院去世。杰克逊的知名度鲜有人比，无论是喜欢还是厌恶，几乎所有地球人都知道。因此，杰克逊去世的消息给许多网站制造了麻烦。

　　在很短的事件内，成千上万的网民涌向微型博客Twitter，查看和发布相关消息，导致服务器超负荷运转。备受流量煎熬的还不只Twitter一家，AOL旗下TMZ网站已多次宕机。

　　佩雷兹·希尔顿(Perez Hilton)的个人博客因网民疯狂涌入、试图证实该消息而瘫痪，《洛杉矶时报》网站最初因为报道杰克逊只是昏迷而不是去世而吸引大批网民，结果导致网站瘫痪。(李明)
